The shoulder demon failed experiment! As Gregory was experimenting on creating a better shoulder demon, he did exactly the opposite and created Null. Gregory was successful in creating deadly claws for Null, but that seemed to be the only positive feature. Defects of the experimentation include smaller wings (Null is incapable of flight under most circumsances and wears Converses to protect his hooves) and a different skin color (EVERY shoulder demon is red, with the exception on Null). Seeing as how he is not a true shoulder demon, born from the fire as all the rest, he has no customary number and is called Null ("nothing") for that reason. He, because of his defects, is the target of many jokes and pranks... his fellow shoulder demon have torn his ears many times by pulling out his earring. Null's assignment is Chris.

As a greater demon, another defect is noticed. During the transformation, Null's eye does not develop, therefore in greater demon form, his right eye is stitched. The wings remain small.
